    I didn't have the fresh ginger so I used the dry variety and the sauce still turned out great.

    Although easy to put together, I was very disappointed at the final product. I followed the directions as written, added the cornstarch as suggested by other reviewers, it was marginal as best. I can't tell exactly what it is I didn't like but I do not I will not be making it again.

    My family loved this. I used a tart preserve with whole cherries, and used sliced pork loin instead of pork chops. It was a great weekday night dinner choice.

    for localprincess I used "smuckers simply fruit" cherry preserves - it has natural sweetners. the recipe turned out great..
