Polish Cresents

Ingredients

  • DOUGH
  • 1 cup(s) butter
  • 4 cup(s) flour sifted
  • 1/2 pint(s) sour cream
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
  • FILLING
  • 3 cup(s) walnuts chopped
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon(s) powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon(s) milk

Preparation

DOUGH

Mix flour and butter together

Add cream, then egg yolks, salt and vanilla

Mix well to form a smooth dough

Put dough in wax paper, place in refrigerator overnight or until well chilled

Roll like pie dough using powdered sugar (very thin)

Cut into 3 inch squares

FILLING

Miix ingredients in bowl or blender

COMBINE

Place a teaspoon of nut filling on each square

Roll in crescent shape and place on buttered cookie sheet

Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until brown
