Plum Pudding Sauce

Yield about 1 cup


  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 tablespoon brandy

How to Make It

  1. Combine sugar, flour, water, and salt in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Remove from heat, and stir in butter and brandy until well blended. Serve hot.
