Ingredients
- 1 pound frozen pizza dough, thawed in refrigerator
- 1/2 cup jarred marinara sauce
- 3/4 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella
- 1 medium tomato, seeded and chopped
- 8 fresh basil leaves
Preparation
- 1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Shape dough into a disk. On a lightly floured surface, roll out or stretch dough to a 12-inch circle. Fold in edges to form a 1/2-inch rim. Transfer dough to a pizza pan or large baking sheet lined with parchment and prick several times with a fork.
- 2. Spread sauce over dough, sprinkle with cheese, and top with tomato. Bake until crust is golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes. Just before serving, sprinkle basil leaves over pizza. Cut into wedges and serve hot.
