- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 (28-ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 tablespoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
How to Make It
Saute onion and garlic in hot oil in a large skillet over medium heat 10 minutes or until tender.
Process tomatoes in a blender or food processor until smooth; stir into onion mixture. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally; cool. Process in a blender, in batches, until smooth.
