- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
- Combine first 4 ingredients in a heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Stir in vanilla and pineapple; mix well. Cool completely.
