Pineapple Frosting

Ingredients

  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained

Preparation

  1. Combine first 4 ingredients in a heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Stir in vanilla and pineapple; mix well. Cool completely.
