- 1/3 cup(s) 1/3 & 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 3/4 cup(s) sugar
- 2 cup(s) evaporated milk
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
- 4 slightly beaten egg yolks
- 2 teaspoon(s) vanilla
- 2 tablespoon(s) butter
- 1 pie shell baked
- 1 can(s) 8 ox crushed pineapple drained
- Mix cornstarch, sugar and salt. Gradually add milk. Cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Remoce from heat and add small amount of mixture to egg yolks, stir well and put back in hot mixture and cook 2 min. stirring constantly. Add butter, vanilla and drained pineapple. Mix well and cool. Pour into baked pie shell.
