Pimiento Cheese Pinwheels

Prep time 10 mins
Cook time 10 mins
Yield 20 appetizers
Here's an easy appetizer recipe to help occupy the kids (pressing out dough and rolling it into logs) on a buzzing holiday.

Ingredients

  • 2 (8-oz.) packages reduced-fat refrigerated crescent rolls (we tested with Pillsbury)
  • 1 cup pimiento cheese*

How to Make It

  1. Unroll crescent rolls on a lightly floured surface, and pat into 2 rectangles; press perforations to seal. Spread 1/2 cup pimiento cheese onto each rectangle, spreading to edges. Roll up each dough rectangle, starting at 1 long end; cut each into 10 even slices. Place pinwheels on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes or until browned.

  2. *Use your favorite brand of pimiento cheese, your own recipe, or the widely available 5-oz. jars of sharp process cheese spread (Old English).
