Petit Fours Frosting

Ingredients

6 cups sifted powdered sugar
1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon water
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Food coloring

Preparation

Combine first 4 ingredients in top of a double boiler. Place over boiling water, stirring until sugar is melted and mixture is smooth and glossy. Add food coloring to obtain desired color.
