Combine olive oil, pine nuts, minced garlic, pecorino Romano cheese, salt, pepper, and basil leaves to make this classic pesto. 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 1/2 ounces grated pecorino Romano cheese
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup finely chopped fresh basil leaves

How to Make It

  1. Combine olive oil, pine nuts, minced garlic, pecorino Romano cheese, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Stir in basil leaves until combined.
