Yield Makes 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons
Serve over hot pasta, spread on chicken or fish before cooking, use as stuffing for mushroom caps, or spread on fresh tomato slices or baguette slices.


  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons pine nuts
  • 1/2 cup tightly packed fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup commercial Italian dressing

How to Make It

  1. Position knife blade in food processor bowl. Drop garlic and pine nuts through food chute with processor running; process 5 seconds or until garlic is minced. Add basil and parsley; process 10 seconds or until minced.

  2. Add cheese; process until blended. Slowly pour Italian dressing through food chute with processor running, blending until smooth.
