The ingredients include thyme or rosemary, but I don't see the herb used in the directions. Is the sprig to be placed in the cavity? Or perhaps chopped up and rubbed under the skin?

Oh...my...gosh. This is SO good! Granted I used a local fresh chicken but still, fabulous! The oven time is perfect. The chicken comes out juicy and delicious. I baked it both on a roasting pan and a pan covered in tin foil and they both turned out great. This truly is the "Perfect Roast Chicken".

This is the best way to roast a chicken. It is easy, yet gives the flavor I want & tastes good even when eaten cold later on. Plus, those scraps which are often left over can we used for chicken salad or making soup. Perfect for a family or just yourself.
