  • 1 teaspoon(s) GARLIC SALT
  • 1/8 teaspoon(s) BLACK PEPPER
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) GROUND GINGER
  • 1/4 cup(s) SOY SAUCE
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) SUGAR
  • 2 PEELED AND QUARTERED TOMATOES
  • 2 GREEN PEPPERS CUT IN 1" PIECES
  • 1 package(s) FRESH BEAN SPROUTS
  • 1 tablespoon(s) CORN STARCH
  • 6 tablespoon(s) WATER

Preparation

  1. 1. CUT FLANK STEAK INTO THIN STRIPS ACROSS THE GRAIN

  2. 2. HEAT OLIVE OIL IN LARGE HEAVY SKILLET...ADD MEAT AND A MIXTURE OF THE GARLIC SALT, PEPPER, AND GINGER AND BROWN QUICKLY OVER HIGH HEAT.

  3. 3. BLEND SOY SAUCE AND SUGAR AND ADD TO POT...COVER TIGHTLY AND COOK SLOWLY FOR 5 MINUTES. ADD TOMATOES, GREEN PEPPERS, AND BEAN SPROUTS...BRING TO BOIL, COVER AND COOK RAPIDLY FOR 5 MINUTES.

  4. 4. STIRRING CONSTANTLY, BLEND IN A MIXTURE OF THE CORNSTARCH AND WATER. BRING TO BOIL AND COOK 2-3 MINUTES OR UNTIL SAUCE THICKENS.
