Pepper Jelly Margaritas

As the name implies, Pepper Jelly Margaritas are mixed with green pepper jelly. Make this Southern-style margarita your signature cocktail at your next get-together.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup tequila
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup orange liqueur
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup green pepper jelly
  • Garnish: lime slices

Preparation

  1. Stir together first 5 ingredients in a large pitcher, stirring until sugar and pepper jelly are dissolved. Fill cocktail shaker with ice cubes; pour desired amount of mixture into cocktail shaker. Cover with lid, and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled (about 30 seconds). Strain into chilled glasses with salted rims. Serve immediately.
  2. Note: We tested with Grand Marnier orange liqueur.
