How to Make It

Step 1

Prepare pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

Melt butter with oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat; add onion and garlic, and sauté 5 minutes. Add red pepper. Remove from heat; stir in vodka. Return to heat; simmer 5 minutes.

Step 3

Stir in tomatoes, parsley, and basil; simmer 5 minutes.

Step 4

Stir in cream and salt; simmer, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes. Stir in pasta; cook 2 more minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and pepper, and toss. Serve immediately.

Step 5

*Chicken broth may be substituted.
