Penne with Sausage, Garlic, and Broccoli Rabe

    We use this type of CL recipe for ingredient proportion, not so much for the specific directions. Even so, made to recipe with whole grain penne & topped with shaved peccorino romano. Served with spinach-mushroom salad & garlic ciabbatta sticks. Simple, easy & economical.

    Great recipe-- very quick and delicious...added a little shredded parmesan cheese to each serving for extra flavor.

    I used hot italian turkey sausage and it was delicious! You definitely don't need to add salt if you use hot sausage though.

    This gets extra points for ease and having so few ingredients. We don't like Italian sausage, so I used chopped ham. Used the broccolini option. Overall, an enjoyable dish.
