- 1 cup(s) shortening or butter softened
- 1 cup(s) sugar
- 1 whole(s) egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
- 1 tablespoon(s) cinnamon
- 1 whole(s) egg white slightly beaten
- 2 cup(s) all-purpose flour sifted
- 1 cup(s) pecans chopped
- Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg yolk, vanilla,and flour; mix well. Spread in a 15 1/2" by 10 1/2" well greased pan. Beat egg white slightly and brush on top. Sprinkle with nuts. bake 30 minutes at 325 degrees. Cut while warm and remove when cool. Makes 5 dozen.
