Pecan Pie with Spiked Cream

    Made this pie for thanksgiving last night and it was such a hit. Used a frozen pie crust and whipped cream for ease. Everyone loved it and said it was the best of all the desserts!

    I am unable to rate this recipe because an ingredient appears to be missing. The description on page 7 of the current Cooking Light inidicated that dates enriched the pie, but dates were never mentioned in the ingredient listing. Am I missing something?

    I have never made a pecan pie before I saw this easy to follow recipe (minus the whipped topping). Perfect for the upcoming holiday, this pie was so good , not as sweet, and not as filling/heavy as store bought pie. To save time, I bought a whole wheat pie crust, and used light corn syrup instead. It's a must try recipe!

    This is an excellent recipe for people who think pecan pie is too sweet. This one isn't all that sweet and the bourbon cream really sets off this pie.
