Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup plus 1 1/2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

  1. Combine first 4 ingredients in a heavy saucepan; stir until well blended. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Stir in vanilla and pecans. Cool.
