Pecan Filling

Ingredients

1/4 cup plus 1 1/2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
4 cups milk
2 cups sugar
5 egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

Combine first 4 ingredients in a heavy saucepan; stir until well blended. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Stir in vanilla and pecans. Cool.
