Pecan Crescent Cookies

A nutty shortbread cookie, in a crescent shape.

  • 1 cup(s) butter
  • 1/2 cup(s) sugar
  • 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
  • 2 cup(s) flour
  • 1 cup(s) pecans finely chopped
  • confectioners' sugar


  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Gradually add flour. Stir in pecans.
  2. Shape rounded teaspoons of dough into 2 1/2-inch logs and shape them into crescents. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 325 degrees for 12-15min or until set and bottoms are lightly browned. Let stand for 2-3 minutes before removing to wire racks. Dust with confectioners' sugar.
