I am not the best cook, but I made this for 2 different thanksgiving dinners last year and got requests for it again this year. I had to look the recipie up just now and thought I would comment. Super easy, crowd favorite, made me look way more skilled than I actually am

This pie is a piece of cake ... preparation takes 10 minutes at most. It was easily the favorite of 4 pies served at my family's Thanksgiving, beating out favorites like apple and pumpkin (even among kids). I used Splenda brown sugar in the recipe with great results, although would recommend checking after 50-55 minutes as the streusel was slightly burnt after a full hour in the oven.

Easy to prepare and good flavor but there was much too much liquid in the bottom of the pie when it was done. Perhaps cooking the pears first would have cooked off some of the liquid or my pears were too juicy (they weren't overripe) but disappointing result overall.

Turned out perfectly. Tart and sweet. Everyone loved it. My new thanksgiving desert!!

A yummy pie for a cold day and really easy to make. I didn't have quite enough pears so I added an apple. Also added a tsp of vanilla to the fruit which I recommend doing. I popped it under the broiler for a minute when it was done cooking to crisp the top a little more. It's not a pretty pie (impossible to slice which is why I rated it 3 instead of 4) but delicious warm with ice cream.

I substituted a ready made graham cracker crust and served with vanilla bean ice cream. It was a big hit, and now I'm making one for a gift.

Easy and not too sweet. A big Holiday Tradition now.

I have made this twice. The first time i liked it so much i made it again next week. Its a great fall dessert. My boyfriend also loved it and he's very picky about pies and fruit desserts in general. I think the topping is what made it so special.

Made exactly as in recipe except I added almonds to the topping. Everybody loved it and asked for the recipe. My pears were only average but it turned out great.

Made this pie for Christmas. It was a hit and both mom and mother-in-law asked for recipe. Also, it is very easy to make with a pre-made pie crust.

Made during the holidays and was eaten in one sitting. I also found it hard to slice so next time will make the pear pieces smaller. A definite repeat.

This was a big hit for Thanksgiving. I will make this again for family gatherings. The pear and cranberries were a great combination.
