Love the cake...don't love the frosting. The cake itself is very good, It has a very tender crumb and isn't too sweet. But, on the other hand, the frosting is way too sweet, and overpowering. But that might be because the recipe makes 3 cups! Three cups? What were they thinking? That's enough for a layer cake, not a 9 x 13. If I make this again, I'll use half the frosting recipe.

The cake is moist and good. The frosting ruined it. I like peanut butter, but this frosting simply overtakes the cake. I can't taste any cola, only peanut butter.

I have made this recipe a total of six times. I use a half sheet pan so the icing doesn't overwhelm. Not too much cake or icing. Everyone requests this cake at work for their birthdays.

The cake is very good, but I agree that the frosting needs to be modified. I used 2 cups of powdered sugar, and added about 1/3 cup of milk. The frosting turned out very creamy and delicious, and the cake looks much better than pictured here.
