Cream butter, peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and mix thoroughly. Combine flour, soda, and salt and add to above. Mix well. Put in jelly roll pan and bake @ 350 degrees for 15 minutes. NO LONGER (recipe says that but sometimes I leave it in another couple of minutes.) Frost with chocolate frosting after allowing bars to cool.
This is the chocolate frosting I use:
Cook butter, milk and sugar until it comes to a rolling boil. Boil for 30 seconds; remove from heat and add chocolate chips. Beat until smooth & thick. Pour over bars (it thickens as it cools).
