Very ripe peaches that are soft, sweet, and juicy don't need to be steamed, and you may be able to puree them with just a fork or potato masher.


1 1/2 cups or 6 (1/4-cup) servings (serving size: 1/4 cup)

4 ripe peaches (about 1 1/2 pounds), peeled, halved, and pitted


1. Place peaches in a vegetable steamer. Steam, covered, 6 minutes or until tender.

2. Place peaches in a food processor; process until smooth.

Kitchen Tip The riper the fruit, the less steaming time it takes to soften the flesh, so use the lower end of the cook time range.
