Ripe peaches at peak season are key to this creamy, refreshing ice cream. Take your kids to a local peach orchard or farmers' market and let them hand-pick the peaches.
3 cups sliced peeled peaches (about 1 1/2 pounds)
1 cup half-and-half
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
How to Make It
Place peaches in a blender or food processor; process until finely chopped. Combine peaches, half-and-half, and remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Pour peach mixture into the freezer can of an ice-cream freezer; freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
