This slow cooker version is just like what you'd get at your favorite Italian restaurant (not to mention cheaper).
Made it exactly according to the directions. It was very good. Next time, and every time since, I used Italian sausage in place of the ground beef and it was amazing. Wonderful comfort food meal with some warm, crusty bread.
Delicious, very similar to the Olive Garden pasta fagioli....be warned, you will need a large 6-7 quart crock pot
