Very good recipe. I didn't have spinach, so it was absent and I think without it, something was missing. I would add the garlic next time too(per another suggestion). Overall, was very good, very easy, and has plenty of options. Definitely a keeper recipe.

One word: AMAZING! This was super easy to make, yet felt so gourmet; would definitely make for company. The bacon really gives the dish a wonderful flavor, not to mention the spinach...will definitely make again and again. Forgot to add the parsley, but that did not detract from the dish whatsoever. I also used angel hair instead of spaghetti, which is just a personal preference. I served it with a salad made with pears, walnuts, dried cranberries, blue cheese, and a homemade raspberry vinaigrette. Delish!

WOW! My husband declared it his favorite recipe yet!! Only change I did add some extra spinach because I had it on hand. Would probably do again. GREAT FLAVOR!! Serve w/ bread.

I agree with everyone--this is great. Like another reviewer, I simply did the bacon (and drained the fat), then added the onion, then the spinach and wine. When the pasta finished, it and the egg and cheese went in. No need for all that removing things from the pan! This tastes very rich and fattening, and all we needed was a salad. Big eaters probably will want two servings if this is a one-pot or an entree with salad only meal.

This was delicious and so quick and easy. I used a spicy pancetta from Whole Foods; it was just fantastic.

My family and I really enjoyed this dish, including our 7 year-old daughter. I added garlic and used 2 whole eggs and left out the parsley. I also added extra wine and water to the sauce, as suggested by the other reviews, but next time I don't think I will, as it made the sauce a bit too thin. I will also add extra spinach next time, since it doesn't go very far after it has been cooked. Overall an excellent week night dish!

It must be me since everyone else gave this 5 stars. It was OK but I think next time I will leave out the onions ( and I LOVE ONIONS) and substitute garlic instead. I might add some olive oil too. I just did'nt think this had enough flavor or something.

So delicious. My husband's and my favorite. Fairly easy to make and so tasty. I follow the recipe exactly. Would make it for company except there's to much last minute prep involved. We like to have it with fruit salad on the side.

my husband and I loved this. I was out of parmesan cheese, so I substituted Romano, which had a little extra funk, but still delicious!

Delicious - very satisfying when you are craving a decadent pasta dinner. Will definitely make again. It's best eaten right after you make it - leftovers lose a little something but are still OK.

the sauce seemed lacking something, but otherwise it was very good

I've been making this for a couple years and is a family favorite. Wonderful and easy enough to serve company. I add two extra slices of bacon and I think chopped tomato on top when serving makes it a full and light meal. Otherwise fantastic as is.

Great recipe! Made a few minor changes based on what I had on hand (less bacon, red onion, added mushrooms) but followed the overall method closely. Loved how the sauce tasted rich and decadent yet came together with no extra butter or added cream. Will make again (and use the correct ingredients).
