I followed the recipe exactly and the buscuits turned out like hockey pucks. They were truly terrible!

My family and I love these biscuits. They have a sweet yet savory flavor. I've been making them since the recipe was first printed and always have good results. It is very important not to overwork this dough, and when you roll it out, make sure that the dough is 1/2 an inch thick.
