Panhandle Barbecue Sauce

Yield about 3 1/2 cups

Ingredients

  • 2 (14-ounce) bottles catsup
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons liquid smoke
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

How to Make It

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan, stirring well. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
