We had this appetizer at cooking club and it was wonderful. Only negative was it was a little awkward to eat as a party food, but we managed! I made it the next time I was entertaining.

Ingredients
- 12 thin pancetta slices (about 1/3 lb.)
- 1 red Bartlett pear
- 1/2 (4-oz.) package goat cheese, crumbled
- Freshly cracked pepper
- Honey
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 450°. Arrange pancetta slices in a single layer on an aluminum foil-lined baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden. Transfer to a paper towel-lined wire rack. Let stand 10 minutes or until crisp. Core pear, and cut crosswise into 12 thin rings. Arrange on a serving platter. Top with pancetta and crumbled goat cheese; sprinkle with freshly cracked pepper. Drizzle with honey just before serving.
