Pam's Country Crust Bread

    Made this to the original recipe but halved the amounts so it would fit in my bread machine.Came out excellent.Then tried it substituting one cup of whole wheat flour for one of the cups of white flour(again halving the recipe)Came out great.Finally found a good bread recipe.(good for toasting too)

    excuse me, but this is not a bread, it is "sai". It is white. Bread is black. At least in these corners.... but for a "sai" it is a good recipe.

    Wow! This bread is excellent! I used instant yeast so I mixed together dry ingredients, then added liquids and mixed 7 or 8 minutes, let rest 5 minutes, made into loaves as directed and completed the instructions as directed. This is one that I'll keep and make over and over. It also toasts nicely for breakfast. Thanks very much!!

    I just made this bread and it is awesome! Came out perfectly after following directions. I made the whole wheat version from wheat that I had ground myself. I would highly recommend this recipe!

    We really enjoyed this bread for sandwiches. I only made half a recipe as I only have one bread pan...but the entire loaf was gone in one evening! Yummy! Definite repeat recipe!
