Onions To Cry For (Red Wine Baked Pearl Onions)
- 1 tablespoon(s) Oil
- 2 pound(s) Frozen pearl onions
- 1/2 cup(s) red wine
- 1/4 cup(s) brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon(s) Kosher salt
- 1 cup(s) heavy cream
- 1/2 cup(s) parmesan cheese
- Preheat to 350. Heat oil in large skillet and toss in onions. Cook for 10 minutes or until slightly browned. Deglaze with red wine, then mix in brown sugar and salt. Reduce until almost dry. Add the cream and continue to reduce until thickened. Pour into 1-1/2 quart casserole and top with Parmesan cheese. Bake for 10 minutes.
