Ingredients
- 1/4 cup(s) shortening
- 1 cup(s) sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
- 1 cup(s) plus 2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 4 1/2 teaspoon(s) baking cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) soda
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1/4 cup(s) milk
- 1/2 cup(s) boiling water
- 3/4 cup(s) sugar
- 1/4 cup(s) half-and-half
- 2 tablespoon(s) butter
- 1/3 cup(s) miniature marshmallows
- 1/4 cup(s) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
- In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg, then egg white, beating well after each. Stir in vanilla. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition. Stir in water until smooth. Pour into a greased and floured 6 in. round baking pan (Bundt or tube)
