How to Make It

Step 1

Spread 1/4 cup melted butter in the bottom of a 13- x 9- x 2- inch baking dish; set aside.

Step 2

Prepare noodles according to package directions; drain. Combine noodles, sugar, salt, apples, eggs, sour cream, cottage cheese, and orange juice in a large bowl, stirring well. Spoon mixture into baking dish. Combine cornflakes and remaining butter; sprinkle over noodle mixture.

Step 3

Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours. Serve immediately.
