No-Crust Fudge Pie

Ingredients

  • 3 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional)

Preparation

  1. Combine chocolate and butter in top of a double boiler; cook over boiling water until melted, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; cool.
  2. Add chocolate mixture to eggs; beat well. Add sugar, flour, milk, salt, and vanilla; beat until well blended. Pour mixture into a well-greased 9-inch pie plate. Bake at 325° for 50 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
