This makes a great gift. Very healthy and economical. I've made food gifts for years and they are always so appreciated. There is a link just below the title that says, 'this recipe goes with Nine-Bean Chicken Soup'. The instructions are right there on how to prepare the beans. I've made this soup with chicken, but have also tried ham or beef and it's always delicious. You could leave the meat out altogether and have a vegetarian soup. Great served with cornbread muffins.
