Newfangled Old-Fashioned

We shaved almost 30 calories per drink from the original, but this version's flavor is just as assertive. One serving equals about two liquor portions.

Cooking Light DECEMBER 2009

  • 1 cup premium bourbon or rye whiskey
  • 1/4 cup 100% cherry juice (not sour)

  • Ice
  • 4 (2-inch) orange rind strips (optional)
  • 4 maraschino cherries (optional)
