I sauteed the garlic with the olive oil for a minute. I used a 6 oz can of tomato paste with tomato pesto, Contadina brand, instead of the plain tomato paste and cut back the oregano to 1 tsp. I cooked the sauce for a few minutes and did not add any water. This was delicious!

Made this with a little extra basil and garlic, and used paste with italian seasonings. It was so easy and yummy! Will definitely make again and again! My new staple pizza/marinara sauce!

Wonderful flavor! I used garlic/basil flavored diced tomatoes. I used the sauce with the Spinach and Ricotta Pizza in the same July 2009 CL issue. Will make again and again!

I've made this sauce several times; it's quick & easy and has wonderful flavor. Sometimes I add some wine, I like tawny port, & simmer for a bit before using in another recipe. I have served it with sausages and pasta to family. It's a wonderful quick recipe for a homemade sauce I would serve to anyone.

I microwaved the oil & garlic for about 30 seconds to bring out the flavor, then stirred together the rest of the ingredients except for the water. It was a good consistency so no water was necessary. Very tasty and easy!

I have made this sauce so many times. I always increase the garlic and leave out the water. I also puree everything in the blender to make less chunky as my husband and I prefer it better.

This is a fantastic recipe! I followed the recipe on everything except I added roasted garlic to it and stewed tomatoes that I blended briefly.

Nice pizza sauce with plenty of flavor. I only used about 1 1/2 Tbsp. of water because we like a thicker sauce. Next time I might hit it with my immersion blender to make it a little smoother. I love that this is a stir-together sauce with no cooking. Will be my go-to pizza sauce from now on.

Delicious! Went great with the homemade pizza dough. Taste actually stood out against the dough and the toppings unlike on some take out pizzas and bought sauces. Very easy and quick to make. Wouldn't hesitate to serve this to company.
