Ingredients
- 1, 8oz can(s) tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoon(s) vinegar
- 1 tablespoon(s) chili powder
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) allspice
- 3 pound(s) lean stew meat
- 1 tablespoon(s) olive oil
- 1 cup(s) beef broth
- 1 cup(s) water
- medium potatoes peeled and quartered
- medium carrots cut in large pieces
Preparation
- Brown the stew meat in olive oil in a large stew pot. Add remaining remaining ingredients except for potatoes and carrots. Bring to a boil and then cover and simmer for one hour. Add potatoes and carrots and simmer an additional 30-40 minutes or until tender. Thicken with some cornstarch and water mixed together.
