Mustard Greens And Turnips

Ingredients

  • 2 bunches (about 4 pounds) mustard greens, cleaned
  • 4 medium turnips, peeled and quartered
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

How to Make It

  1. Place mustard greens and remaining ingredients in a large Dutch oven; add water to cover. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 2 hours or until mustard greens are tender.
