Moroccan Mint Tea

This tea is usually served very sweet, so add more sugar, if desired. Prep: 15 minutes.


Makes 4 to 6 servings

3 teaspoons green tea (preferably China green or gunpowder)
1 cup fresh packed mint leaves
6 tablespoons sugar, or to taste


Add a small amount of boiling water to a teapot, and swirl to warm the pot. Discard water, and add all ingredients to teapot. Pour 1 quart of boiling water into teapot, and swirl once or twice to dissolve sugar. Allow to steep 5 minutes. Strain before serving in traditional glass teacups.
