  • Meatballs
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 3 tablespoon(s) Parsley
  • 2 slice(s) White bread
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 pound(s) Ground beef or ground lamb
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) Ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) Paprika
  • Sauce
  • 4 teaspoon(s) Butter or olive oil
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) Turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) Cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) Cayenne
  • 1 1/2 cup(s) Chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoon(s) Fresh cilantro
  • 3 tablespoon(s) Fresh parsley
  • 3 tablespoon(s) Lemon juice


  1. Mix all ingredients for meatballs. Form walnut-sized meatballs.

  2. For sauce, soften onion in preheated butter/oil. Add paprika through cayenne. Cook one minute. Add chicken broth and cilantro. Bring to a boil. Add meatballs. Simmer covered for 45 minutes. Add parsley and lemon juice. Return to boil for 2 minutes.
