A great lighter version of a sandwich classic! Have shared the recipe over and over and make it often. Really, really good. Reliable, tasty, worth sharing.

This is a very good sandwich and is easy and simple to make. I made it on my lunch hour.

I've tried a few "lighter" versions of this sandwich and I like this one the best. I enjoyed the sauce more but I also used cherry preserves instead of red current since I had it on hand. I also liked dipping the whole sandwich in egg mix then cooking. Others I have tried had you make french toast first which is an extra cooking step and given this recipie- not necessary. I also bumped up the meat and cheese which I am aware defeats the low-cal :)

I made this sandwich for my husband and I for dinner one night. It was really simple to make, and it was absolutely delicious! My husband enjoyed getting involved in making it, and we both wished there was more once we were done eating. This will forever be a staple in my recipe box.

This is a family favorite. We usually serve it with tomato soup from the grocery store deli for a simple weeknight meal
