Monte Cristo Blintzes
The inspiration for this sweet and savory blintz is a Monte Cristo sandwich: cooked ham or turkey and Swiss cheese on bread that has been dipped in egg and cooked in butter. The sandwich is usually topped with powdered sugar and jam.
Yield: 4 servings (serving size: 1 blintz, 1/2 ounce ham, 1 tablespoon cheese, 1 tablespoon strawberry spread, and 1/4 teaspoon sugar)
