Mock Pea Guacamole

Yield 1 1/2 cups (24 servings) (serving size: 1 tablespoon)
Try this "mock" guacamole for something fabulously different. Frozen english peas sub in for avocados but provide a familiar gaucamole color and texture.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen English peas, thawed
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions (about 2 onions)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon salsa
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
