Ingredients

  • 5 cup(s) hot water
  • 1 pound(s) beef shanks or stew meat
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) basil
  • 1/2 can(s) carrots
  • 1 pound(s) can tomatoes
  • 1/2 can(s) uncooked spaghetti broken 1 inch pieces
  • 1 can(s) (16 ounces) kidney neans, drained
  • 2 medium zucchini sliced
  • 1 teaspoon(s) salt

Preparation

  1. In 4 quart casserole, pour water over meat and onions, pepper and basil. over. Cook on high for 25 minutes or until meat is tender, turning meat at least once. Remove meat from bone and cut into small pieces. Add meat in soup broth, along with carrots and tomatoes. Cover, cook on High for 8 minutes. Stir in spaghetti, zuccini, beans, cabbage, and salt. Cover, cook on high for another 10 minutes stirring once. Let stand, covered, several minutes, Sprinkle iwth cheese.
