Meringue Frosting

Recipe from


3 tablespoons meringue powder
1/2 cup water
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 cup sugar


Beat meringue powder and 1/2 cup water at high speed with an electric mixer until foamy. Add cream of tartar, beating until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating until stiff peaks form.

Note: Meringue powder can be found at cake-decorating and craft stores.
