Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter or margarine

How to Make It

  1. Combine flour, cornstarch, and sugar in a medium mixing bowl; cut in butter with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.

  2. Shape dough into 1-inch balls, and place on ungreased baking sheets. Flatten balls with a fork in a crisscross pattern. Bake at 300° for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
