These are delicious and easy, however, the recipe fails to mention adding the crushed tomatoes.

Delicious! We served the meatballs and sauce over cous cous with a side of green beans.

Simply divine. Didn't have pita on hand, but did have a handful of whole wheat thin spaghetti - finished it with the tiniest bit of crumbled Feta (I'm talking a smidgen, the meatballs and sauce are fantastically flavorful). This recipe is going into regular rotation at our house and I'll serve the meatballs and sauce as part of an hors d'oeuvres spread on New Year's Eve.

The meatballs are good on their own but the sauce is funky. I don't think the spices are the most ideal for a tomato based sauce. I used whole wheat pasta instead of pitas and a little feta which made the sauce edible.

Recipe does not forget to mention tomatoes (although it's not super obvious). It's the third ingredient after ginger. Add ginger and next 3 ingredients; 1 teaspoon ground ginger 1 teaspoon ground cumin (1) 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (2) 1 (15-ounce) can crushed tomatoes (3)
